The dynamic nature of behavioral health care and human service environments requires organizations to manage strategically and focus on organizational change. Strategic planning can help an organization be proactive in analyzing market trends and in initiating and managing the service shifts and repositioning necessary to be successful in a new or emerging environment.

Specific tools for participants to use in their strategic efforts will be reviewed, including SWOT analysis, market interview survey, force field analysis, and the implementation action plan. Tips for managing the internal organizational change process will also be discussed.  Case examples for the presenter’s national consultation practice will be shared.   Participants will have an opportunity to apply the framework to their organization and received guidance and coaching on application.
