The School of Social Service Administration and the Divinity School of the University of Chicago have designed a program of study that permits students to earn both the A.M. and the M.Div. degrees in one academic year less than if they completed both degree programs consecutively. Course requirements for the A.M. component of the program include core and concentration courses for a total of 13 SSA courses.

Applicants to the joint A.M./M.Div. program must meet the entrance requirements and follow the application procedures of both the School of Social Service Administration and the Divinity School.

Information for current students who wish to consider joining this program may be obtained by contacting the Dean of Students Office of both the School of Social Service Administration and the Divinity School. Applicants should contact the Directors of Admission.

"I had no awareness of the existence of social work in schools in China, so I am thankful for my first year internship experience with children at Namaste Charter school, which totally opened up a new world for me. The experience broadened my horizon in terms of the various ways in which we can help children," says Zehua Cui.
