Thank you for your interest in hosting your event at The University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA). Located within the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus, SSA was designed by one of Chicago’s most celebrated architects, Ludwig Mies van de Rohe.
SSA’s enormous lobby is a major feature of the building. This large public space is used as a social space for functions and events. SSA classrooms can accommodate meeting spaces for 15 to 100 people and are fully equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual resources, internet access, and a professional staff available to assist in making your event memorable.
Space at SSA is available to SSA faculty, staff, and students free of charge and available for rental to all University of Chicago departments. Unfortunately, SSA space is not available for rental to outside organizations.
If you are interested in hosting an event at SSA, please submit your request by email to Carmella Snook, Events. Please include the following information: the target event date, a brief description of your event, the number of expected attendees, if you will need audio/visual resources and internet access, and the type of space needed (reception area, classroom, or meeting room). Your request will be reviewed and answered within 48 hours or less.
