College-educated, undocumented young adults may face same narrow range of jobs as parents

Parents who move to the United States without legal status generally seek better job opportunities for their young children, hoping their kids will achieve more than they could. But a study of undocumented young adults raised and educated in America shows that they ended up with the same kinds of jobs their parents had -- working in construction, restaurants, cleaning, and child-care services. Assistant Professor Roberto G. Gonzales comments on his new survey that sheds light on the issue.
