Alumni Association Committees

The Alumni Association Committees implement programs that are mutually beneficial to alumni and all facets of the School. Alumni who wish to get involve in the SSA Alumni Association may contact Drae Laws.

African American Alumni Committee
The African American Alumni Committee builds connections among African American alumni and creates meaningful opportunities for them to engage with students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The Committee also solicits gifts for The AAAC Fund.

Board Nominating Committee
The Board Nominating Committee reviews and selects alumni to serve on the SSA Alumni Board and presents the candidates to the Board for election.

Fundraising & Communications Liaison
The Fundraising and Communications Liaison advises SSA Staff and Committee Chairs in planning and implementing fundraising strategies to identify, solicit, and steward gifts for The SSA Fund.

Networking & Professional Development Committee
The Networking and Professional Development Committee plans activities that facilitate professional networking among students and alumni.

Regional Committee
The Regional Committees build connections among alumni across the U.S. The Committees plan and organize gatherings to increase alumni engagement and affinity.
     • Regions: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

Reunions Committee
The Reunion Committees advise SSA staff in curating programming, recruit alumni volunteers and drive attendance for Alumni Weekend. Committees also build a culture of philanthropy by encouraging class gifts to The SSA Fund and other initiatives.
     • Class Reunions: 5th, 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th and 50th.
