2012 Recipient of the Elizabeth Butler Award

Rachel Durchslag, AM ’05, Founder and Executive Director of the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation was presented the 2012 Elizabeth Butler Award. This award honors one recent graduate of the School who has shown exceptional promise in the field of social work and has earned an AM or PhD not more than 10 years ago, and no less than five.

Durchslag founded CAASE, a progressive enterprise in Chicago that raises awareness about sexual violence and sex trafficking, with the goal of prevention. By initiating educational programs and innovative data collection, CAASE is making significant advances and has achieved a national presence in the fight to end sexual exploitation.
